What
are the prerequisites?
If you are thinking about
enrolling, here's a list of what you'll need to be accepted:

Graduate of a two
year program in Allied Health
or
A Bachelor's Degree with required classes*
or
48 semester credits with required classes*

*
Included in the classes above must be: Anatomy & Physiology with a lab,
Biology with a lab and Algebra. Courses must be at the college level. Any
variation from above prerequisites must be approved by the Administrative
Director.

What is the application deadline?
Not to worry, there is no deadline for the class. We take applications
until we are full for each class and then simply consider your application
for the next class opening.

What are the class start dates?
There is plenty of time to begin your training, we enroll new students
every January, April, July, and October.

How long is the program?
The program is one year, 2016 clock hours, and 104 quarter hours.

Do you have evening classes?
Sorry, we don't, but our day classes are held Monday-Friday from 8:00 am
to 4:00 pm.

What is the tuition?
The tuition for the complete program, abdomen, ob/gyn, vascular, cardiac,
and ultrasound physics is $15,500.

Do you have financial aid?
Yes, we sure do! We offer Pell grants, and Federal Stafford loans. When
filling out the FAFSA, you'll need the school code, and here it
is...016483.

Is there job placement?
Although we do not offer specific job placement, we do inform graduates of
employment leads that are received from prospective employers. There are a
vast number of ultrasound job websites available to graduates to secure
employment.

Can I do only one part of the program?
Yes, you certainly can, but only if you are already a registered
ultrasound tech wanting to cross-train into another modality. More
information on this can be found under "short term programs".

How many students are in a class?
The average class size is 20.

Can I do my clinical rotations back home at my own clinical site?
Yes, once approved by the Clinical coordinator, you may do clinical
rotations at an alternate site of your choosing. For more information

When is orientation?
Orientation is held on the first day of class.

When I finish the program, will I be able to take the ARDMS
Registry?
Yes, you will. Most of our graduates fall under ARDMS prerequisite 1
(footnote 1) or prerequisite 3A. All of the prerequisites are listed on
the ARDMS website. |
